  This is our 5th stay at the resort and this house is most definitely the most basic cottage we have stayed in. It feels a bit unloved compared to others.
  The pool was dirty with algae growing on the sides - had to complain, on the upside someone was round to add chemicals very quick but Algae reminded in hot tub.
  Only one sun lounger for a house that sleeps 10 is not good enough.
  All the other houses around us had more and nice lighting etc round pool.
  There are definitely better cottages in the resort

  The home was not clean upon arrival. We called the front desk and they stated they will let the management know. We never received an update so we cleaned the home our self. There were broken blinds as well and the pool was not clean/ we had to call the front desk twice in order for them to send someone out to clean the pool. The home itself was beautiful. Just wish the team paid more attention to the cleanliness of the home.

  This is our second year staying at Margaritaville and with VStays. Our home of stay was not fully cleaned prior to arrival. Still have drinks ij blender and cups, chip bowl with dried salsa, and the floor had sand all on it.
  No hangers in all rooms (4 bedrooms), the pool was not clean and no skimmer to clean on own, barely any towels, dryer did not work had to put on multiple times, and the kitchen was not fully equipped with things needed.
  Last year home we stayed in was on point and felt like home.
  
  The property at resort was good. Was a busy week with many happy guests.

  Overall the rental house was very good and met our needs. There were 7 adults. Bedrooms were great, living room a little small. Some minor maintenance issues that I reported and the management company was very quick to respond. Pool was too hot for our use during July but that may be normal??. Upstairs bedroom could use some black out curtains which may help control the temperature up there. It did cool off by the third day with air conditioner running. Especially loved the main swimming pool!

  We stayed at the cottages before and have never had any problems. This time was a little different. The cottage was beautiful and in a great area, but everything was not in tip top shape. The TV in the 1st floor bedroom did not work, but we weren't there to watch TV so it didn't matter
  However, the bathroom there was not very clean. The floors looked like they had not been washed in a month. Overall, the rest of the cottage was in good shape and we were very happy.

  The quality of people renting next door has continually deteriorated over the past couple years. We have always prided ourselves as staying in an upscale place with quality tenants. We had to call security several times due to the partying neighbors into the early AM hours. The cleaning of the floors and showers were not very good this time either. Also blinds were missing pieces and curtains were not able to be closed for privacy. We are not typically complainers. We spend a lot of money here and things have deteriorated over the past couple years. Cleanliness and privacy are big things for our comfortable stay. Some of the furniture was wobbly and needed the legs adjusted.

  Reserving was easy, have stayed at the cottages several times, This rental was a bit smaller than pictured, not very well stocked like others Ive stayed at, and needs some TLC. Blinds were broken in several areas,not enough towels in the bathrooms, microwave light didnt work-pool was dirty upon arrival but a quick email prompted the cleaning right away. Pool area is really small,pool needs to be re-surfaced as it has several black looking spots, we were a family of 5 and if we had any more it would definately have been uncomfortable in the house-even though its a 4 bedroom, its quite small.Check out is at 10, and even though I asked for an 11am checkout I was told no as they follow the checkout time strickly.

  The property was adequate. The location was great for access to the resort pool and had a nice lake view. The reservation process was very difficult. We had many clinches and it was time consuming. Check-in was easy. The kitchen supplies were not the best. The negatives include: no measuring cups, the coffee maker was tiny (it only made 4 cups and we booked for 10 guests), no kitchen towels, no spatula, and no serving items. There were plenty of dishes and glasses though. One of biggest disappointments was the bath towels. There was one per person for a 4-day stay. They don’t bring any extras. You must wash your own towels if you want them clean. So, I got to do laundry each day of our vacation. It was a very basic unit as far as supplies and decor.

  The house was super cute, spacious, and clean. We loved all the Margaritaville-themed touches in the decor. It felt super beachy and fun! Our kids loved the pool and hot tub, and we loved that we had the option to go to the main resort pool or our own. The one thing that I thought really could be improved was the process for buying a cabana. When you do it you have to stand there and wait to get an e-mail and pay through the e-mail. This took at least 10 minutes person and created super long lines waiting to do this. There has GOT to be a better way, and they were like “nope this is the only way to do it”. I thought that part was super archaeic, but everything else was awesome. Staff members were very friendly. Overall great experience.

  I wouldn’t recommend to stay here because if you have an issue there is no follow through after initial contact. I had several different issues pool cleanliness, ants and HVAC system leak. I made a full list complaint to management regarding all my issues and they assumed I was seeking compensation because of my name. At no point did I ask for reimbursement and I only informed management so they can correct the issues for the next family that visit.

  The cottage property was not very busy during my stay. This allowed for more privacy and a more peaceful stay. This cottage was well decorated and filled with necessities and more. The private pool and hot tub were the perfect touch.
  There was room for improvement on two specific things. All shower heads could stand to be detachable, and there were tiny “ghost ants”, primarily in the kitchen.

  Do not recommend the home located at 8012 Shaker Street or homes with a similar layout. Very poor layout that is not practical and does not comfortably accommodate guests. Kitchen, breakfast area and family/living room are basically combined into one room that take up the majority of the 1st floor.
  
  Best way to describe it is that there are 3 separate living spaces in this home designated by floor so it makes it difficult to be with your family, friends or group as a whole.
  
  Enjoy the Margaritaville Resort and have stayed at other cottages within the community but would definitely not recommend this unit.

  This was our second time staying in the cottages at Margaritaville. We came to celebrate my daughter graduating Nursing School.
  Cottage was beautiful! Very convenient to Disney properties and Seaworld.
  We had a couple issues; smelled like someone used dirty mop water or a dirty mop when cleaning the main floor. We had to get air freshener and open some doors. Breaker in the kitchen kept tripping. The morning we were leaving which was 3am we had no hot water in the entire house.
  Other then those minor things, we had a wonderful time.

  The unit was fairly clean, except the floor was dirty enough it turned everyone's white socks black on the bottom. Lots of space and the heated pool was fun. Location to the resort/pool area was really close, except the service at the pool bar was terrible, wait 20 mins at the bar to order a $16 small drink. We also enjoyed nightly walks around the neighborhood and the bicycle car rental from the pool area.
  
  Complaints, we used this VStays over the other company because their site lets you pick which unit you want, but then they don't give you the unit you ordered anyways. Atleast it was only a couple units down. None of the houses seem to have bathtubs either so its not ideal for small kids, especially with the strong water pressure from their ****** typical hotel shower heads. Also the houses are really close together so if your neighbors are outside visiting it sounds like they are sitting in your living room. Also the 3rd floor is very creaky/noisy, any movement up there at all you wake up everyone on the 2nd floor.

  After postponing this trip from 2020, we were happy to be able to travel for Thanksgiving 2021. I was a little worried after reading some of the reviews, but all that went away when we arrived. The cottage was clean, well kept and stocked with kitchen items and towels. It was exactly as presented in the pictures. They dropped off bedding for the pull out. The pool was warm(would have liked a little warmer but that is me) and the hot tub was wonderful. We were a family of 8 (20-57) and everyone throughly enjoyed the stay. Management was also super responsive to any requests made. You also cannot beat the location of the property and cottage., it it close to many things. Overall, it was a fantastic holiday vacation. One my family will certainly remember. Thank you!!

  Very poorly maintained property. Not my idea of a vacation to have to wash my own towels, go buy toilet paper, paper towels, and trash bags because not enough were provided. Pool was dirty and filled with leaves and other trash. Took more than an hour to clean it up. Dishwasher kept blowing the circuit breaker and wouldn’t finish the dry cycle. Washing machine would get stuck on the spin cycle and not finish. Will not use Vystay ever again!!!

  We have stayed at Margaritaville Resort and Cottages three times prior to this trip and enjoyed our stay very much those times. This cottage was not up to par as past experiences. We could not use the pool at all. The pool was very hot. It was the same temperature as the hot tub so someone obviously turned the pool heater on to max temperature before we arrived. The cottage was dirty with grass and hair all over the place. The dishwasher did not work. I called it in and was told someone would come that day to fix it but no one ever showed. The dryer did not get hot so our clothes were never dried. There was only 2 small pans so we could not cook a nice meal that we had planned. There was only one wash cloth per bathroom so all of the guest had to use towels as wash cloths to shower. We spent a lot of money and expect more than this. This was not a good experience at all.

  Loved our vacation stay!!! Our rental was as pictured. Beautiful property, well kept grounds/pool area and the location by the lake was extremely nice in the evening. Everyone had a great time. The Margaritaville Resort is just as lovely. Definitely, will seek to reserve the same property again. In addition, the pool lady; grounds keepers of the cottage; as well as all the staff we encountered from the time we checked in at the resort were so kind and helpful. I’ve been to many resorts; however, this stay was by far the best for me and my family/extended family. Prior to our arrival I had a few questions that were easily addressed as well. Thank you for making our trip wonderful, the Beautiful Cottage provided made our time together memorable!!

  The resort itself it’s amazing. The atmosphere is nice, the staff is nice and the drinks are always good. The grounds are well kept and it’s nice to just go for walks in the morning with our little 2 year old. This is the second time staying at Margaritaville Orlando and first time staying in a cottage. We love it there. But I think we will never use Vstays again. It was a nice cottage had everything we wanted for our long stay and a pool for the kids and plenty of room. But for some reason the pool heater was on in the summer in Florida. So the water was 100+ in the pool and the kids wouldn’t even get in or even allowed in. Didn’t think anything of it at first figured it was Florida heat and we weren’t at the cottage very much our first two Days there. Then we find out from a neighbor there are pool heaters so I go over to look at the system and sure enough it was cranked up to 100 degrees. So that’s why it was soo hot. Called down they sent someone out and turned it off but its 98 degrees every day with a low of 80 at night so that water isn’t getting any cooler for our stay. Then my wife complains about it and the Vice President of Vstays, Matt B, gives her a load of **** about it being Florida and being hot and that’s why. No buddy unfortunately I am a pool manager at my community Pool and I saw the heater was on. He was very mean to my wife and pretty much didn’t pay her any attention and just degraded her right in the middle of the lobby of the resort. I wasn’t there at the time so I don’t know if he thought he could due to her being a small petite woman or what but then he wouldn’t even speak with me. He told her we complained the whole stay and that he helped with everything. Yes you should of, it’s your job. We had no wash cloths, we had one towel each, our dishwasher was broken, the pool was 100+ degrees and more. We were your customer and paid a lot

  Overall ok experience. House was clean and very nice.
  The property had a private pool and spa which we could not use. The water was very hot, over 90 degrees and the water was dirty, had green algae growing and cloudy. Called about it and nothing was done. This was the most disappointing part of our stay. If I return I would not stay at this property again.

  My family and I had a great time during our stay at our cottage(4bdrm, 4 bthrm w/ pool). It was clean and decorated very nice with relaxing island vibes. Our check in was very quick and efficient, and we were walking in to our cottage within 5 minutes of arriving. Friendly staff, great location to restaurants and stores, as well as transportation to other attractions and parks. We will be returning soon!

  I found hair on the beds. The couches looked beaten up. The pool wasn’t cleaned. The alliances were not in the cottage as promised. On top of that, the manager did not even reach back out after I submitted my feedback to resolve the issue. The cleaning staff had a terrible attitude as well.

  Everything was great except for the fact that we had to request pool heat. We were told that when we checked in. We were so excited to jump into the pool and hot tub after a long drive in the car. We were devastated. We were not able to use the pool until the next day. We were told that information was in our check in email. When I reread the email , I did see it. It was number 25 out of 28 items! It should be number 1! I would assume most people want the poor heated. So you should make every effort to make sure people need to request that. It definitely affected our stay.

  A couple of my girlfriends and I rented one of the cottages at Margaritavile and we absolutely loved it!! Checkin was a breeze and everything was so easy to get to!! The cottage was so clean and there was so much space!! Even though the cottages are fairly close to each other you still felt privacy in the back porch with the pool. Honestly before we checked out we wanted to extend our stay!! I would 100% recommend staying here and can’t wait to plan my next mini vacation here!!
